Paris Airshow - Boeing Fight Back

This might have been a Paris Airshow for Airbus to celebrate, but Boeing have their own reason to fly the flag too.

As this press and promo video from the American company shows, Ryanair have added a huge order of B738's to their already enormous portfolio of Boeing aircraft. After a wet and windy day on the 19th June, Ryanair's Michael O'Leary touches down at Le Bourget with some rather good news for Boeing executives and managers.

Will the 737 MAX 8 also in the pipeline, it's an exciting time not just for Boeing and Airbus as individual companies but for the aviation industry as a whole. It's the first time in a generation that we are seeing a whole new range of aircraft being built from the ground up - and it's a great time to be involved or interested in the industry, despite what people may tell you.

As this picture below demonstrates however, it's impossible for Boeing to completely steal the show. A surprise visit from the new Airbus A350 XWB had people talking...however mostly because it was a rather anti-climactic event. Still, can't deny that it is a beautiful looking plane!
