LaGuardia in 1968 - From Two Kids Who Broke In
This wonderful film, found courtesy of Jalopnik and distar97 was filmed inside the perimeter fence of New York's LaGuardia airport in 1968.
Armed with nothing more than a very small cine camera, it was a 15 year old's dream to get inside the fence and film these old smokers with no security in sight. In fact, upon reminiscing about their trip, the most visit memory is not having any ear defenders....

New British Airways Advert
A new British Airways TV advert is to air at 11am on Saturday 7th September on Google +.
It appears that Google + is playing an ever increasing role when it comes to social media (check out our Google + here!)
The new BA advert is likely to feature the 787 heavily, as promised by their teaser photo. Their new aircraft is already plying BA routes and will continue to feature more heavily in the fleet lineup. Be sure to check back soon as we'll have a proper feature on the BA 787 in the coming weeks.

Royal Air Maroc CN-RNT Back to Former Glory!
http://www.nycaviation.com/2009/08/four-months-after-hard-landing-at-jfk-on-site-repair-of-crippled-royal-air-maroc-767-nearly-complete/#.UfE4qo0qan8
This is a great post courtesy of NYC Aviation.
Remember CN-RNT - the aircraft that suffered a dramatic hard landing in stormy conditions at JFK?
The good news is that this aircraft has been, at a cost of about 11 million US Dollars, repaired by Boeing at their maintenance facility in New York. It's great that this bird is being returned to the skies, but what's even better is that it never left again on the return leg after the hard landing. It would have almots certainly disintergrated - and the incident highlights to an even greater extent than normal why we have walk around and pre-flight check procedures.

JFK Airport in 1998
If anyone needed anymore reminding as to how far aircraft and airline branding, design and logos have come - check out this Just Planes video from 1998 at JFK.
There's a great selection of 747 Classics, A300's, 727 and DC-9's - what many would consider ancient and completely outdated technology today.
As consumers we have become so used to an 'aviation style' - slick corporate branding and design outweigh engineering and mechanics. It's nice to see a few moving parts every once in a while!
