This is a great post courtesy of NYC Aviation.
Remember CN-RNT - the aircraft that suffered a dramatic hard landing in stormy conditions at JFK?
The good news is that this aircraft has been, at a cost of about 11 million US Dollars, repaired by Boeing at their maintenance facility in New York. It's great that this bird is being returned to the skies, but what's even better is that it never left again on the return leg after the hard landing. It would have almots certainly disintergrated - and the incident highlights to an even greater extent than normal why we have walk around and pre-flight check procedures.
