The Final Flight of the Final UK Based BAC 1-11

The defence and technology company, Qinitiq, have released a video of the final BAC 1-11 flight into Newquay Cornwall Airport
It's a pretty momentus event for the aircraft, which has provided faithful service as G-BGKE after first being delivered to British Airways in 1980. The BAC 1-11 was a groundbreaking aircraft, making important inroads into the American market as well as changing the way airlines looked at operating costs and efficiency in the short haul sector.

With any luck, this aircraft will be flyable again very soon - however the main thing is that it's preserved. Theres no doubt that The Classic Air Force, who have been kindly donated the aircraft, will keep it in very good condition. Here's to many years of museum service!
